My 10 days vacation in Cancun, Mexico.

My 10 days vacation in Cancun, Mexico.

Day 1: Arrival in Paradise

In moments, when the plane was flying over the ocean and the Caribbean sea specifically, we felt a surge of excitement. The tropical sun greeted Cancun often, as the beautiful sandy beaches were laid out before me, ensuring I would have a great vacation.

When we arrived and disembarked the plane without a bump, the next procedure was to clear customs before we were let out into the warm suasive tropical air that greeted us into paradise. In less than an hour’s drive later, we were at our very posh, and right on the beach, and I could hear the soft sound of waves hitting the shores and the swaying palm trees.

Its lobby was also luxurious and large with an open-air concept that provided a glimpse of the sea in the resort. We were checked-in without any difficulty and within a short time, we were led to our room – a large suite equipped with a direct sea view balcony that had a direct view of the lovely beach. As many of you know, we have been anxious to begin our vacation; therefore, after settling into our rooms, we squeezed into our cruise wear.

This is the way which we spent the afternoon, walking through the interesting places of the resort. The infinity pool was tempting as it was perched on the cliff, you can see the sea in the background. At the hotel, we relaxed by the swimming pool, we were offered welcome drinks which were served alongside swimming attire.

And with the dusk breaking upon us, enchanting warm reddish colors above the sea, we walked along the beach, touching the warm sand without bare feet. The first evening in Cancun was crowned by a meal in the restaurant located directly on the shore of the resort, where we tasted sea food and traditional Mexican cuisine.

This showed that the sound of the waves helped to create the right mood and expectation for the fun and leisurely or adventurous activities that followed.

Day 2: Beach Day and Relaxation

The day we arrived in Cancun was devoted solely to lying on the beach and enjoying its beauty to the maximum. The day began with breakfast in the resort’s restaurant situated right on the coastal strip, where we were offered to have tropical fruits, homemade pastries, and, of course, omelets cooked to order. A spectacular view of the turqouise sea was also visible from where we were seated, perfect for our meal.

After eating our fill, we didn’t waste time and headed to the beach immediately. The white sand and blue hue of the water were even more amazing as I got closer.

We took our breakfast in a palapa, also arranging simple and comfortable beach chairs right on the sand and playing loud music in the background. It was a great climate with the sun’s rays as well as the touch of the sea breeze being pleasantly warm.

In the afternoon we swam in the sea and the water was good for swimming at that time. We were swimming comfortably, drifting with the buoyancy that we could find in water. We then walked on the beach when we were dry with mouths agape as we picked shells here and there.

During lunch, we went to the bar located at the coast where we indulged in fresh and tangy ceviche and fish tacos accompanied by icy margaritas. The rest of the afternoon was spent lying on the sun beds either reading or resting with a little nap now and again.

Towards the evening, when the sun was setting and the horizon was already of a copper color, we were totally calm and happy that we spent our day in the calmness of the beach.

Day 3: Exploring the Hotel Zone

The third day in Cancun required getting into the heart of the Hotel Zone. The next morning, after a sumptuous meal at the resort, we decided to tour this very active region. The Hotel Zone, a portion that offers a jovial atmosphere, is a stretch bounded with hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.

The first place we went to was the La Isla Shopping Village, which was a large outdoor mall with both luxury stores as well as specialty shops from different artists. We walked leisurely down the beautiful canals of Venice for shopping souvenirs andbeautiful handmade jewelries. The range of products including clothes of bright colors, plastics and stoneware pottery was simply enchanting.

For lunch, we decided on a picturesque restaurant directly located on the coast of the Caribbean sea. We enjoyed delicious seafood including barbeques of octopus and prawns, ceviche accompanied by ice cold mojitos. Lighting and sound of waves made the atmosphere even livelier which made the dining experience all the more delightful.

After lunch, the group travelled to other places of interest including the Interactive Aquarium where guests can touch the marine animals including the dolphins. On our last evening, we had to wash up before we went out to sample the colourful nightlife of Cancun.

We danced till dusk at coco bongo which is widely famous for shows and great ambiance. A live show, which combined music, acrobatics, and live performances, was simply unforgettable. At the end of the evening we were planning for the next day with great joy and enthusiasm.
